Liquid Liners That Work
Cat-eye, kitten eye, winged lines, even graphic lines all have one product in common: a kick-ass pigmented eyeliner. Our preference is liquid, especially for any winged looks, because creating the swoop takes precision, and you can’t get more precise than liquid liner. But with a plethora of products available promising the cat-eye of our dreams, it’s difficult to discern what’ll actually work and what won’t. Because there is nothing worse than opening your liquid liner pen, bringing it to your lash line only to have it tug, bleed, or, worst of all, not come out at all.
Here are our favorite liquid liners that actually work (and our honest reviews on what doesn’t work too):
Hourglass Voyeur Waterproof Liquid Liner ($34) – The best liquid liner we have yet to try. It glides on with ease, doesn’t pull or tug, stays on all night, doesn’t smudge, and has serious black power. Also, the tip is so thin you can build on your line – from daytime thin to nighttime thick. It’s the OG of liquid liners. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner ($22) – This used to be our go-to, but the tip is a bit thicker than what we want for day. However, if you’re into thick lines, this one is a must — and it has the reviews to prove it. Also, of not, we found that this liquid liner dried out faster than we’d want.
