Easy Basic Tees
I’m a self described jeans + tee girl. And while a jeans and tee can be super easy and basic, I like to think that it can also be a cute way to show off accessories or shoes while keeping the main part of the outfit really simple.
Also, the right t-shirt can make a huge difference in the overall look of the outfit too!
I’ve tried a pretty decent range of price points and fabrics over the years and finally rounded up my tried + true basic tees in this post.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight.
One. Gap Vintage Wash v-neck t-shirt. I love the rounded hemline and looser fit of this tee. It also doesn’t have too low of a neckline so it doesn’t require a tank or anything underneath! My tip for shopping at Gap or Old Navy is to order “tall”. Lately it seems like the cut of a lot of tees is short and box, so ordering tall helps give a bit more length! Two. Z Supply Pocket tee. It’s hard to beat this perfect white tee. It’s got a slouchy pocket, is a bit longer of a fit, and has a moderate v-neck cut. Sometimes this can gape open when I bend over so if you are very conservative you may like a tank under it (like this one!!). I generally find that I’m comfortable in just the tee. I like this for casual days with leggings, or dressed up a bit more with a front tuck, cute shoes, and statement earrings.
