Shorts season is upon us and I’ve intentionally added a few new pairs to my closet so I don’t get bored of denim shorts over and over. Don’t get me wrong, I love a simple denim short, but when it’s too hot for pants and your only options are shorts or dresses, it’s fun to have some different shorts.
I was browsing Nordstrom a few weeks ago, specifically looking for shorts and tried on a few pairs to gauge what size is right depending on the brand. I found a pair from Joie that I really liked, but haven’t bit the bullet on them yet!
I loved the scallop detail on these shorts by Madewell that I found online at Nordstrom. They don’t have much stretch, which I kind of like about them. A lot of the shorts I have do have stretch, but these will keep their shape nicely. Unfortunately they are currently sold out, but I’ll update this post whenever they come back in stock! It took a little bit of thinking on how to style them, but ultimately I couldn’t go wrong with a simple white tee and long tassel necklace.

For date night, I recently added this beautiful off-the-shoulder top to my wardrobe. It’s light and easy to wear, and the subtle lace detailing at the bottom made it a bit more interesting. I love that this is so different from a lot of what I have in my closet for date night, but is still really easy to wear!
