I’ve been mulling this post over in my head for a while now, but despite that I still don’t totally know the direction it’s going to go in. But rather than overthinking/under-actioning it, I thought I’d start writing and see where it takes me.

Which I guess is an easy-ish link to just one of the thoughts buzzing around my head these days. That I miss writing. Loving writing was one of my main motivators for starting my blog but in following the ebs and flows of the ever-changing Internet the two big ‘creative’ elements of this space have fallen away. Still photos and longer form written content have lost favour to videos and snappy captions… if any caption at all. Which is one of many reasons I’ve found myself very much out of love with creating content to feed the beast that is instagram.
I probably shouldn’t even open up the can of worms that is my opinions of Instagram as of course as someone who has spent the last decade plus of their life/career intrinsically tied to the internet I still spend a lot/an unhealthy amount of time scrolling. But more and more so find myself completely turned off by both what I see on there and the whole idea of sharing.
