Weekly Must-Have: Becca Volcano Goddess Eyeshadow Palette
Twelve eye shadows, three color schemes, three finishes — that’s what the Becca Volcano Goddess Eyeshadow Palette offers — and I’m loving it. So, I’m a b it disappointed to see that the palette received so many negative reviews on Sephora. Let me clear this up ASAP since the people who seem to be bummed about the palette wanted pigmented metallics: these metallics are not pigmented…at all. Which, by the way, I don’t mind because I think just a hint of glitter makes them more wearable. This isn’t Instagram makeup, it’s real life makeup and the Becca Volcano Goddess palette delivers 12 gorgeous hues in matte, shimmer, and metallic, and infinite eye possibilities. In fact, I’m such a fan of this limited-edition palette that it’s the only one I opted to bring on my recent trip to NYC. I can pull off a day look with the three neutral mattes and shimmers — or a night vibe by adding the darker shimmers and metallics (more like slivers of glitter). I mix Red Rock and Crater for my crease, and it ends up creating a beautiful burnt brick shimmery hue. The three mattes are creamy and ultra matte, and the shades are so wearable, you’ll want to use them every day. The glitter-metallics, Midnight Sapphire, an indigo blue, Lava, a copper, and Gilded, a gold, are perfect for a pop of color in the center of the lid.
