We went to the beach! This trip was a long time coming with our friends and it was such a fun weekend. Justin and I were chatting and realized that this was our first trip as a family of 4 that didn’t involve visiting our extended family.
Our friends are our local family, and this beach trip was right on time.
There was basically no plan, which sounded perfect to me, and each family took over a meal. Everything went quite smoothly, which is sort of amazing considering there were 10 adults and 8 kids under age six in one house!

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only thing that I forgot was each of the boys’ swim shirts. I had sunblock, of course, but I prefer them to wear the rash guard/swim shirt as well. It wasn’t terribly sunny, which meant the weather was perfect for being outside and not getting too hot, but we still lathered them up with sunscreen. Is there anything harder than trying to put sunscreen on a one and two year old" Justin takes the “let me talk you through each step and show you how I will wear it too” method while I just take them outside and lather them up as quickly as possible!
The boys were exhausted after the weekend, understandably. I’d love to be in their heads while they tried to figure out why we were all living in the same house!
