Sonic Chic make a line of portable electric toothbrushes. Once you go electric you never go back, quite frankly and I recently threw away my old Oral-B since it was getting bit funny.  I wasn?t sure if a toothbrush as small as this Sonic Chic one could replace it but it does. 

These can cost as little as £19.99 which is less than a regular electric toothbrush (I paid over £100 for my Oral B one) and it is also is battery operated so it saves from all that charging rubbish (TOO MANY EXTRA PARTS).  It also comes with one spare head to change too. 
This toothbrush comes in a number of designs for those of you who like to personalise everything and a cap so you can truly take it everywhere. Its seriously small and light. 
It also boasts 22,000 strokes per minute so I found it to be very powerful and cleans my teeth really well despite being small. 

Look at how small it is!!!!!!!! The size of a pen (kinda) . 

I honestly just think this is the best thing, ever.  It is affordable, it is truly compact and it works really well.
