#Shelfie: June Chow of Project Skin
“My addiction to skincare began when I was in high school, when I discovered the K-beauty brand, Laneige. I remember using a ton of their brightening products at the time because my objective was to get really clear and bright skin. Eventually, I branched out to other K-beauty brands such as Klairs, Huxley, Blithe, Wishtrend, Leegeeham, and more. And through @projectskin_, I am given many opportunities to try different products from indie brands to luxury brands to K-beauty brands. Today, I incorporate many K-beauty products into my daily skincare routine in combination with luxury and indie products.
It was August 2017, and I had just finished a statistics course in summer school. I had a whole month to myself before I had to return to school. I picked up my phone and started to take a whole bunch of photos of my skincare products and routines. I really wanted to post these photos and share them with people of similar interests, and that?s when I decided to start an Instagram page dedicated to skincare, @projectskin_. At the end of the day, I like to unwind by simply hopping onto Instagram, checking out beautiful posts, and reading about what other bloggers have to say about beauty. Instagram is a place for me to express my creative freedom, interact, and meet individuals. And, it is a place for me to improve my photography skills and learn editing techniques, ultimately, expanding my skillset.
