Well this is long overdue.
I’ve mentioned both of these people in various places but it’s time we do a formal introduction here on the blog.
Meet Jordan, my photographer.
Jordan, my dear friend, has been shooting some photos and video for me for a long time now. Over two years actually! She came into my life shortly after David was born and she’s become like a sister to me.
She’s known by the public as a wedding photographer, but here is who she is to me: She’s a sister from different parents, she has the driest sense of humor that is so in line with mine, she’s obsessed with Star Wars, she’s a feeler and has this way about her that compels me to often share my innermost thoughts while she sits on my floor, she loves my boys like an aunt, she is a fantastic photographer who can see light and composition like no one else, and she’s a hard worker. She’s kind and extremely gracious, and I don’t know what I’d do without her. She has helped me shoot videos for the blog for the past few months, and has assisted with shooting various other projects, including all my family photos for years!

Nicole has become an absolute asset to the blog. She’s technically my assistant, by job description, but I don’t feel like that adequately describes all that she does. She’s also a sounding board for ideas for posts, and helps me gauge what to say yes to and what to say no to. She...
