I’ve mentioned the renovation we’ve been doing on the house already here, and talked about it plenty on Instagram Stories, but I’m happy to report we are finished with the room, all that is left is furniture and decor! We did miss the completion date that our contractor said he would meet. . . but after hearing stories of other friends doing renovations on their homes I kind of expected that.
We wanted to see what our existing couch and chair would look like in the room so we moved that in first. As I suspected, the space is begging for a sectional to we shopped one Sunday afternoon and found a perfect one at Haverty’s. The only bad news is that it will take 3 months to arrive because we chose a dark grey fabric. I’m very anxious to finish the room so waiting on the sectional feels like a long delay, but we are using our existing furniture for now and that is just fine! I’ll share photos and details about the other rooms in the house as they come together but today I wanted to share my favorite places to shop for furniture and home decor.
I typically like to stay on the lower end with furniture and home accessories, but I’ll invest in a piece I know that I’ll have forever. Our dining room table is from World Market (similar to this) and we bought it about 2.5 years ago. It’s still going strong and I’m sure we’ll have it for a long time.
