MAC Liptensity Lipsticks - Review & Swatches
Today I was lucky enough to be invited to the unveiling of MAC's brand new lipstick range, Liptensity in Brooklyn, New York. The new range has been created in collaboration with Maureen Seaberg, a Tetrachromat, which (if you don't know what on earth that is!) means she can see around 100 times more colours than the average person. She worked with MAC's creative team to tweak the 24 shades in the range to make sure they were as pigmented, true to colour and beautiful as possible. Resulting in MAC's most pigmented lipstick formula to date.
The texture reminds me of my favourite Cremesheen lipsticks, but a little richer, slightly more glossy and significantly more pigmented. There are 24 shades in the line-up (six being limited edition.) My top picks are Smoked Almond (a beautiful mid-rose nude) Mulling Spices (a striking, true red) and Post Modern (a clean, coral-pink). The shade range is really diverse so there will be something for everyone, whether you're playing it safe with a natural nude like Doe (another favourite of mine) or daring to wear something really out-there like Stallion (true black) or Blue Beat (deep navy). I've been wearing mine for around 5 hours now and even through eating and drinking, the pigment is still true and even on my lips, despite a lot of the product itself having worn away. These lipsticks wear incredibly well, staying even and comfortable with a rich, moisturising feel to them. L-R: Medium Rare, Driftwood, Doe, Smoked Almond, Toast & But...
