Whew, we made it through detox week! Have you been following along" I hope you learned a bit about something new, and perhaps feel revived after doing some of the “today’s takeaway” at the bottom of each post. Since we detoxed summer, it’s time for fall right"

If by fall you mean pool party this weekend, then fall it is! We’re having a few friends over this weekend for an end of summer pool party, but we don’t typically “close” our pool for the season. Justin has gotten into a really good rhythm of keeping our water perfect, so I imagine he’ll just maintain that through the winter so we are ready to go next year!
Anyway, despite having summery weather upon us, I’m in fall mode after visiting my sister in Northern Virginia last weekend. It’s beautiful up there! I had been up to Washington, DC, but hadn’t ever traveled west of the city. Lauren and Mike only live about 45 minutes from downtown, depending on traffic of course, and they are surrounded with winery’s, apple orchards, rolling hills, hiking trails, and more. It’s such a different place to live for both of them, having left Chicago to move to Virginia, and I hope they make the most of living up there. Before they move to Raleigh, as I’m begging them to.
